ROGUE FOOD UNITES
2025
IMPACT REPORT
ALL HUMANS DESERVE ACCESS TO HIGH-QUALITY, ORGANIC, NUTRITIOUS FOOD.
In 2025, Rogue Food Unites (RFU) continued to show what is possible when food is treated as a form of care rather than a commodity.
This last year has asked a great deal of our community. Economic pressure, policy uncertainty, and rising food insecurity shaped the reality many of our neighbors faced. And still—day after day—our markets, programs, volunteers, staff, and partners showed up with consistency, dignity, and heart. Because of you, thousands of neighbors accessed nourishing food through RFU markets rooted in trust and relationships. Because of you, food was shared without shame, without hoops, and without conditions. And because of you, RFU remains a place where community care is not just talked about, but practiced. 2025 was also a year of important groundwork. Behind the scenes, we strengthened systems, clarified priorities, and began building toward the next phase of our work. This included laying the foundation for the launch of our Freeze Dried Meal program—an initiative designed to expand access while strengthening long-term sustainability for our markets and organization. What makes Rogue Food Unites special is not only what we do, but how we do it. We center dignity. We lead with equity. We listen. We adapt. And we hold one another with care—especially when the work is hard. None of this happens in isolation. It happens because of community members who trust us, staff who bring skill and compassion to their roles, volunteers who generously give their time, donors who believe in our mission, and partners who walk alongside us.Towards 2026 and beyond, we do so with clarity and momentum. We are focused on building what lasts—markets that are resilient, programs that are innovative, and systems that allow us to continue showing up for our neighbors in meaningful ways. Thank you for being part of this work. Thank you for believing that food can be a bridge, a stabilizer, and a source of belonging.
Together, we are nourishing community—and building a future rooted in care.

A LOOK AT THE FINANCIALS
2025 presented RFU’s Finance and Development teams with a series of unprecedented challenges. With cuts to federal and state support across the entire nonprofit sector and dramatic cuts to food assistance for the Supplemental Nutrition Access Program (SNAP), RFU and our partners and allies were compelled to navigate an uncertain future together.
Thankfully, RFU’s leadership was proactive in financial planning. The Board of Directors established an investment policy to guide RFU’s financial well-being into the future. At the close of 2025, RFU’s reserves continued to provide necessary financial support to help offset the loss of state and federal support.
In 2026, RFU is doubling down on our efforts to build a revenue generating business model through our Freeze Dried Meal program. The business is being set up to sustain support for our community food security initiatives and build our local food system through consistent planning and purchasing agreements with our farm and producer partners. The future remains challenging and uncertain, and RFU is thankful for the ongoing support and financial contributions of our donors, funders, and partners to sustain our collective work to feed our communities in times of crisis.

NEIGHBORS UNITE: NO COST FARMERS MARKET
Rogue Foods Unites is entering its 5th year of the Neighbors Unite: No Cost Mobile Farmers Market. The team is thrilled to continue providing fresh, regional, organic produce, natural meats, and eggs three times per week. Our goal with the Neighbors Unite market is to keep nutritious food readily accessible for people who are generally excluded from food assistance due to systemic barriers.
2025 - 10,589 cases of produce supporting ~1,700 individuals per week
THANK YOU FOR CONTINUING THIS EXTRAORDINARY [FARMERS MARKET] IN EAGLE POINT. IT IS EXTRAORDINARY BECAUSE OF THE EXTRA-NUTRITIOUS ORGANIC PRODUCE. WE ARE ALSO GRATEFUL FOR THE MEAT. ALL THE FOOD HELPS OUR BUDGET WITH ALL THE PRICE INCREASES. FOR SENIORS, IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE IN EACH MONTH’S BILLS.
THE OTHER REASON RFU IS EXTRAORDINARY IS THE SOCIAL ASPECT. MY SCHEDULE IS BUSY WITH TEACHING PART-TIME, PREPARING HEALTHY MEALS, AND HELPING FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHEN NEEDED. THIS TIME HERE AT RFU IS MY 2X-A-MONTH SOCIAL TIME THAT LIFTS SPIRITS.
WHAT A GRAND GIFT TO BE HERE WITNESSING ALL THE BENEFITS OF BEING PART OF THIS SPECIAL RFU COMMUNITY.

Meals Made With Care
RFU is partnering with loved Oregon Chefs to create shelf-stable emergency freeze dried meals that aren’t just survival food—they’re crafted from the heart with kindness and care. Honoring both our region’s culinary excellence and our communities’ diverse needs, each meal is prepared with organic produce sourced from local Oregon farmers and natural meats from regional ranchers who share our vision of access to healthy food for all. These meals are culturally relevant, nutritionally dense, and genuinely delicious - made with care, rooted in Oregon, shared with love.
-Rooted in Oregon, Shared with love.
RFU CATERING & FOOD TRUCK
RFU’s goals are to support people and local businesses. These two programs are designed to increase awareness of the work RFU does by serving thoughtfully produced meals made from regionally-sourced, organic produce at community and private catered events. These programs offer our community more ways to support RFU’s Neighbors Unite No Cost Farmers Market.
When you see us out serving delicious healthy meals around the Rogue Valley, stop by, say hello, enjoy a meal, and support a farmer.

DISASTER CASE MANAGEMENT
In partnership with the Oregon Office of Resilience and Emergency Management, Rogue Food Unites’ Disaster Case Management services have been providing financial and resource support to survivors of the 2020 Labor Day Fires in Jackson County. After two years, RFU will be sunsetting this program in the summer of 2026. Through its lifetime, RFU’s Disaster Case Management Team will have spent about $588,125 to support fire-affected home owners with remaining unmet needs. During the time we have partnered with the state in the disaster case management program, we have assisted fire survivors with resource navigation and provided advocacy that, in some cases, has made a huge difference for families still recovering from the 2020 wildfires.
Community Focus
Preparing emergency go bags for individuals attending a local community event: Meal Without Power.
When disaster strikes, everyone deserves food made with care—prepared with kindness and rooted in the strength of our local food community. While Rogue Food Unites hopes to never be called upon to respond to disaster, we recognize that the need is real. Food insecurity itself is an ongoing emergency, with nearly half of Oregonians experiencing it daily.
RFU started in 2020 by providing meals to our community during a crisis. RFU continues to work on disaster preparedness by partnering with organizations like the Oregon Department of Emergency Management. For example, working on a Meal Without Power to provide preparedness materials and have folks go home with emergency food go-bags.
These relationships help us transition from where we started to the work we’re doing now - allowing our passion for community resilience and disaster response to support our everyday food security work and to prepare our community for disaster with dignity and care.
A guiding principle of Rogue Food Unites’ work is that every person deserves access to high-quality, organic, and nourishing food. That commitment does not change during times of crisis. When emergencies arise, RFU continues to show up for our community with the same care, dignity, and quality that guides our work every day.

I AM SO GRATEFUL TO BE ABLE TO VOLUNTEER FOR RFU. WORKING ALONGSIDE STAFF ALLOWS ME TO SEE THEIR DEDICATION AND KINDNESS IN ACTION. I AM PRIVILEGED TO WORK ON WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO ME TOO: TO REDUCE FOOD INSECURITY IN OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING LOCAL, ORGANIC FOOD WITHOUT BARRIERS.
WHAT A JOY TO SET UP BUSHELS FULL OF PRODUCE AT WEEKLY MARKETS. WE HELP PATRONS, ONE AT A TIME, SELECT WHAT THEY’D LIKE TO TAKE HOME TO COOK. THEY SHARE THEIR STORIES OF THE DISHES THEY’LL CREATE TO NOURISH THEIR FAMILIES AND NEIGHBORS. THEIR GRATITUDE IS REPEATEDLY EXPRESSED THROUGH THEIR WORDS AND SMILES.
